These are short constructed response prompts for Roald Dahl's "Lamb to the Slaughter," for grades 8-10. They're short enough to use one or two a day while you read or right after.

The eight prompts cover how Mary changes, theme, irony, setting, what the title means, foreshadowing, how dialogue moves the plot, and suspense. The slides end with an SCR walkthrough using a CER (claim, evidence, reasoning) strategy and an SCR rubric slide with points and scores.
