The setup: a Halloween curse has turned the teacher into a ghost, and students have to solve puzzles to collect the ingredients that break it. Kids move through stations and record answers in a response booklet.

Six core stations cover metaphor, haiku (kigo), a riddle, a short prose comprehension question, allusion, and simile. Six higher-level stations add point of view, idioms, synonyms, antonyms, prefixes, and subject-verb agreement, so you can run six or all twelve.
