Questions teachers ask

Is SwapDrop free?

Yes. Converting images, PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, audio and video is free, 5 files at a time up to 50 MB each. Pro converts as many files as you add, handles files up to 500 MB, shrinks PDFs and photos to a size you pick and turns video into GIFs.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything is converted on your own computer, phone or Chromebook. Nothing is sent to a server, so student names and work stay private.

Is it like CloudConvert?

It does the same everyday jobs without uploading your files, with no daily limit and no waiting in a queue. It also merges, splits and shrinks PDFs and turns phone photos into one PDF.

Can it turn iPhone photos into JPG or PDF?

Yes. Drop HEIC photos in and pick JPG, or use Phone photos → one PDF to put a stack of homework pictures into a single PDF.

Can it convert Word to PDF?

Yes. Word (.docx) files become PDFs that keep their headings, lists, tables and pictures. Old .doc files need to be saved as .docx first.

Which files can't it convert?

PowerPoint and Keynote files, old .doc files and video-to-video formats aren't supported yet. Export slides to PDF first, then convert the PDF.
