Classroom library checkout system

How it works & FAQ

Chapter Checkout is a classroom library checkout system that scans the ISBN barcode already on your books. Titles fill in by themselves, and you always know who has each book, for how long and when it's due.

How it works

  1. Scan your books with a USB scanner or your camera. Titles fill in from the barcode.
  2. Add your students, then scan a student and a book to check it out.
  3. Use return-a-stack mode, due dates, holds and reminder slips to keep books coming back.

What you get

  • Uses the ISBN barcode already on the back of most books
  • Scan with a USB scanner or the camera, and titles fill in by themselves
  • Due dates, holds, reminder slips and a return-a-stack mode
  • Reading badges, a class reading race and a year-end report
