Groundhog Day Pre-K & K Unit
Printable unit · Grades Pre-K–K · PDF, 19 pages · $4
Groundhog Day becomes a full week of learning for pre-K and kindergarten. Students learn groundhog facts, sort animals by their body coverings (fur, feathers, scales or shell), and decide which animals hibernate.
They graph whether their class's animals hibernate, predict if the groundhog will see his shadow, trace their own shadows, then build compound words with a word mat, picture cards and a cut-and-staple mini book. Everything is black and white and ready to print.
