STAAR Review Saga: Mastering Vocabulary, Inferencing & Editing

This is Lesson 1 of my STAAR Review Saga, a video game-themed review for English I and II. Everything is built around retro games and boss battles, which keeps kids reading.

Students open with a context-clue warm-up ("The final boss battle was ___"), get a quick definition of inference with real STAAR question stems, and review three editing rules: subject-verb agreement, clarity, and parallel structure. Then they work a 10-item practice set.
