One-Pager Characterization: "The Lady, or the Tiger?"
Assignment · Grades 7–10 · Editable doc · $2.5 or included with All-Access
A one-pager assignment for "The Lady, or the Tiger?" that turns character analysis into something students can see. Good for grades 7-10.
Students pick the king, the princess, or the young man. They identify character traits, find textual evidence for each one, and lay it all out on one page: the character drawn or collaged in the center, traits around it, evidence with paragraph numbers next to each trait, and lines or arrows connecting them. Color and symbols carry the mood of the character.
Since the directions are general, it's easy to swap in another story.
