Alternative Ending: "The Lady, or the Tiger?"
Creative writing · Grades 7–10 · Google Docs · $1.5 or included with All-Access
Stockton never tells us which door it was. In this creative writing task, students decide.
They pick the princess, the young man, or the king and write a 2-3 page narrative in MLA format from that character's point of view. They retell the lead-up to the climax, choose the lady or the tiger, and show what happens next, while keeping Stockton's tone and style and letting readers inside the character's head.
What's included
- One-page assignment with directions and five instructions
- Three point-of-view choices: the princess, the young man, or the king
- Requirements: 2-3 pages, MLA format, vivid description, match the original tone and style
