A visual character analysis for "The Scarlet Ibis." Students map Doodle and his brother onto body outlines, using quotes to show who each character is. Good for grades 7-10.

For each character, students place at least 3 quotes with page numbers inside the outline and explain each one in 1-2 sentences. Then they write a 150-200 word paragraph on how both characters' traits drive the story's outcome. The rubric breaks the 100 points into outlines (40), quotes (30), explanations (20), and the summary paragraph (10).
