English 1 & 2 STAAR Review Packet (Anime Edition)

Study guide · Grades 8–10 · PDF · $5

My students will read anything with All Might and Deku in it, so I wrote an original short story starring them, packed with similes, metaphors, and imagery. Then I wrote 20 STAAR-style multiple choice questions on it.

Students read "The Gleaming Beacon," then answer questions on what each comparison means and what it shows about a character or the mood. The answer key explains why each answer is right, so it doubles as a reteach tool.
