Free Hand Washing Posters with Sing-Along Songs

Free Hand Washing Posters with Sing-Along Songs

Classroom posters · Grades Pre-K–5 · PDF, 12 pages · Free

Hang these above every sink and hand washing becomes a routine kids can follow on their own. Each poster shows the same six picture steps (Wet, Soap, Lather, Scrub, Rinse, Dry) with a friendly character, so even pre-readers know what comes next.

Four posters add a sing-along song with original lyrics written to familiar public-domain tunes: Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush (This is the way we wash our hands), Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, Row, Row, Row Your Boat and Little Miss Muffet (starring Little Germ Muffet). Students keep scrubbing until the song is done, which gets them past the 20-second mark.

The fifth poster skips the song and shows hand washing rules: the six steps plus a When do we wash? row (before eating, after the bathroom, after sneezing or coughing, after recess, after touching pets, and when hands look dirty). Steps follow CDC hand washing guidance.
