Handwriting practice · Grades Pre-K–1 · PDF, 29 pages · Free
Handwriting takes practice, every single day. These A–Z pages give young writers one page per letter with a clear routine: watch the model, trace, then write it on their own.
Every page has a big bubble letter to color, a picture word (A is for apple, B is for bus and so on), and a Watch the Strokes model with numbered starting points and arrows. The capital and lowercase rows start with a solid model letter, then dotted letters with numbered strokes to trace, so students form every letter the right way. Then come capital and lowercase pairs and the picture word to trace and write.
A four-box self-check at the bottom reminds students that tall letters touch the top line, small letters reach the dashed line and everything sits on the baseline. Slide the pages into sheet protectors, keep them in a binder and use dry-erase markers to save paper and ink.
